Introduction: Blended learning (BL) is trending among medical education colleges around the world, and its many benefits, including the lack of physical presence in all sessions, have led to the popularity of this teaching method for adult learners. Therefore, the present study was conducted to explain the experiences of Part-time undergraduate operating room students from teaching by Blended learning method.Materials & Methods: This qualitative research was conducted by content analysis method in the first semester of 2019. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews during 15 interviews with Part-time operating room students. Then the data were analyzed by content analysis using MaxQDA2 software.Results: Data in three main categories of "challenges" with subcategories; Selection of appropriate curriculum content and secure social network, "Arrangements related to the implementation of the program by professors" category with sub-categories; Ability of teachers to teach and be motivated and the category of "brought" with subcategories; Multiplicative individual growth and interaction and increased self-confidence were categorized.Conclusion: Based on the findings of the study, the use of this teaching method with considerations such as a suitable Internet platform, the existence of motivation and capability in professors, the selection of appropriate content can lead to satisfaction of adult students working in medical centers and individual growth and provide more versatility and interaction in the classroom.

The effect of human capital maturity on the productivity of knowledge workers (Case study: Birjand University of Medical Sciences)AbstractIntroductionExperts today believe that human capital, because of its scarcity, value, irreplaceability and imitability, is critical to achieving a sustainable competitive advantage and plays the most important role in increasing or decreasing the productivity of the organization. The present study investigate the effect of human capital maturity on the productivity of knowledge workers of Birjand University of Medical SciencesMethods:The present study and field survey. The statistical population of the study is all knowledge workers of Birjand University of Medical Sciences who were selected as a sample through simple random sampling method, according to Morgan table and the formula for the number of indicators in structural equations, 90 people. data were collected through a questionnaire that was analyzed using structural equation modeling and Spss and PLS software.Results: The results show that among the independent variable components of human capital maturity, learning capacity drivers with an average of 3.41, access to knowledge with an average of 3.38, employee participation with an average of 3.20, workforce optimization with an average of 3.16 and practice Leaders with an average of 2.48 were ranked first to fifth, respectively. Cronbach's alpha of human capital maturity items is equal to 75.4 and productivity items are equal to 81.6. Among the components of human capital maturity are leadership measures, staff involvement, access to knowledge, optimization, human capital on Knowledge staff productivity has a positive and significant effect and the hypothesis of the effect of learning capacity on knowledge staff productivity was rejected.Conclusion: The components of human capital maturity are effective in predicting the productivity of knowledge workers

Introduction: Midwifery students can play an important role in promoting oral health of mothers and infants and preventing early childhood caries. The aim of this study was to investigate the knowledge of a group of midwifery students about early childhood caries.Materials & Methods: In this cross-sectional study, all students in the last two years of midwifery (165 students) in spring 2020 were studied. The questionnaire had 21 questions. Scores from 0 to 10.5 were given a poor grade, from 10.5 to 15.75 a medium grade and from 15.75 to 21 a good grade. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 21 software and independent t-test and Pearson correlation coefficient and the significance level was considered 0.05.Results: The mean scores in the areas of aetiology, prevention, and total were 5.58 74 1.74, 5.27 92 1.92 and 10.86 19 3.19, respectively, and were moderate. The relationship between the two domains was significant and positive (P = 0.0001).Conclusion: Students 'knowledge about early childhood caries is moderate and students' educational needs to play their role in promoting children's dental health are probably less considered. It is better to include in their courses a course entitled "Early childhood caries.

Introduction: Interest in the field of study and having the desired quality of clinical training will lead to more appropriate job performance. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the quality of clinical education and students' interest in their field of study in rehabilitation faculties in Hamadan University of medical science and University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences.Materials & Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on )306( students of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, technical orthopedics, speech therapy and Audiology in two rehabilitation faculties of Hamadan University of Medical Science and University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences. Self-report questionnaire included demographic information, questionnaire of interest to the field of study (α =0.713) and the quality of clinical education (α = 0.930). Data were analyzed by SPSS 23.Results: The mean age of students was (21.83 ± 1.09) years. Students were (177(female (59.6%) and (120(male (40.4%). Mean quality of clinical education was in Hamadan University (52.92±11.98) , Tehran University (53.99 ± 11.48), and not significant between thetwo groups (p>0.05).The highest influential sub-category in the quality of clinical education was area of educational environment (11.66± 3.20). There was a significant and negative relationship between interest in the field of study with goals and educational program, dealing with students, monitoring and evaluation (p <0.01).Conclusion: The level of quality of clinical education in both faculties was moderate and desirable. Regarding to the negative relationship between the quality of clinical education and interest in the field of study, further studies and attention to review in clinical education is recommended.

Introduction: Academic satisfaction covers a wide range of aspects of dental students' lives, and the realization of some or all of these aspects can improve the training process and improve the quality of education. One of these aspects is the personality type that may be the basis of dental students' academic satisfaction. In this study, we examined the relationship between personality type and academic satisfaction of dental students in Zahedan.Materials & Methods: In this descriptive-analytical study, 135 dental students studying in dental college of Zahedan university of medical science in person participated. The questionnaire included students' background information, JDI Academic Satisfaction Questionnaire and MBTI Personality Types Questionnaire, which was provided to students. The mean scores of personality types and academic satisfaction were compared by SPSS.22 software at different levels of contextual variables.Results: In the present study, the most common personality types were ESTJ, ISTJ, ENTJ, INTJ. The rate of overall academic satisfaction in female students was 179.09 and in male students was 164.95 and girls' satisfaction was significantly higher than boys (P = 0.007).Conclusion: It seems that dentists with personality types ENTP, ESTJ, ISTJ, ISTP, ENFJ, have more ability to learn and cope with the daily stress in the field of dentistry and as a result experience more academic satisfaction.

Introduction: Following the Covid 19 pandemic in early 2020, the need to observe social distance, education of students at different levels was disrupted. Educational institutions and universities used various methods to compensate for this shortcoming, among which e-learning gained a special place.Materials & Methods: We have created a virtual studio in Akbar children Hospital in Mashhad from March to May 2020, in which the respected professors of the Pediatrics Department of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences recorded the courses assigned to externs, interns and assistants in this studio. We launched the Healthstudio program, which provided us with a number of capabilities, including video editing, to improve the quality of our recorded videos.Results: Results: A studio was equipped as a virtual recording space in which 50 training sessions were provided in the form of links for externs, 27 training sessions for interns and 5 training sessions for assistants. The links were also prepared in NAVID system(Special university learning software).Conclusion: We tried to provide a suitable infrastructure for medical students to have quick and easy access to educational content.

Introduction: The present study aimed to review the components of instructional design and management of interactive educational process in the context of virtual education.Materials & Methods: This is an overview review study. The present study conduct by searching the keywords instructional design, virtual instructional design, e-learning, distance learning, education, blended learning in Science Direct, PubMed, SID. In the study, 128 were extracted in the first phase of the study. In the second step, 78 articles and reports were reviewed and finally, based on the inclusion criteria, 42 articles were used in the present study.Results: The results of studies showed that the framework of educational design in the process of virtual education is very similar to the stages of educational design in the process of traditional education, but in detail, it is necessary to consider the features of virtual / e-learning. In the process of designing e-learning, it is necessary to pay attention to eight components, including determining the audience, determining the goals and expected outcomes, educational content, how to organize the content, determining teaching methods and learning activities, determining educational media, and assessment and evaluation.Conclusion: Designing and managing a virtual learning process is a multidimensional issue that has various components such as the eight elements of educational design, available educational technologies, collaborative activities and creating opportunities for peer learning and growth of teachers' capabilities in e-learning environment has key role in the success of education program.

Introduction: Medical professionalism is one of the nowadays most important debating subjects in medical ethics. It means the preferred behaviours that physicians must have against the patients and the community to bring proper interactions. The problems contributing to the patient-physician relationship is the cause of lots of complaints. Despite so many research in this field, there is a large gap between knowledge and practice and non-professional behaviours are persistent. The aim of this article is to review the related literature and presenting a practical guide for the improvement of medical professionalism.Materials & Methods: The subject was searched in the databases such as ERIC, PubMed and Google scholar by using these keywords: Professionalism, medical education, medical ethics. Thirty- eight articles were reviewed.Results: A good doctor not only needs knowledge and technical skills but also proper relationship skills and professional behaviours. To gain this target these options must be mentioned: Designing professional curriculum, determining the general and partial goals, choosing teaching method, proper evaluation, and especially focusing on the dynamicity of this curriculum by using the feedbacks.Conclusion: To reach the medical professionalism goals and correct breeding of physicians, it is essential that medical professionalism-based curriculum be done in all of the medical schools and repeatedly be assessed and edited.
