Abstract

Introduction: Nursing and midwifery education is a part of the higher education system that deals with human life and is of special importance. This study was designed to determine the problems of clinical education from the perspective of nursing and midwifery students of Bojnourd Free University.
Materials & Methods: The present cross-sectional study was performed on 120 Midwifery and nursing students of Bojnourd Islamic Azad University based on purpose. The data collection tool was a questionnaire consisting of two parts. The first part was related to demographic characteristics and the second part was a 5-point Likert scale from 1 to 5 with 7 areas: evaluation of trainers, environment and facilities, staff performance, educational and welfare facilities, evaluation of educational and student planning and communication with the patient, were distributed among all midwifery and nursing students. After data collection, SPSS23 was used to analyze the data.
Results: In the present study, out of 120 students, 113 answered the questionnaires. Clinical education was generally ranked in the middle with a score of 306. So that the areas of evaluation of trainers with a score of 363, evaluation of environment and facilities with a score of 353, educational facilities with a score of 293 and evaluation of educational planning with a score of 313, were in the middle rank. Welfare facilities were ranked poorly with a score of 208. And the evaluation areas of the student with a score of 417 and the patient with a score of 395 were ranked well.
Conclusion: The results of the study showed that the attitude of nursing and midwifery students towards the self-evaluation of the student was good, but they do not have a good view about the welfare facilities and in the educational level and dissatisfaction is seen in them.
