Abstract
Introduction: One of the effective methods for assessing students' readiness in the field of health is to evaluate the internship program. Therefore, the present study was conducted to evaluate the internship program in the field of health of students at North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences using the SIP model from the students' perspective.
Materials and Methods: Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in 2024 using a census method on 210 students of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences who had reached the health internship stage or were completing their course. A standard questionnaire based on the CIPP model was used to collect data. The data were analyzed using SPSS 23 software.
Findings: The mean (standard deviation) age of the students was 22.72 (2.08) years. The mean and standard deviation of the students' health internship program evaluation score were 18.189 and 39.83, respectively, in the moderate range (110-220). In the evaluation of the internship program using the SIP model, the highest and lowest average scores were related to the context and input (16.62) and (53.28), respectively.
Conclusion: According to the results of this study, the evaluation of the internship program shows a clear tendency among students towards learning through active interaction with educational tools and equipment, but in some other aspects it has brought weaknesses that should be considered by those responsible for designing and implementing the internship program.
