• Journal registration process

To submit an article, the author must register on the journal's website (http://HMED.mums.ac.ir). After receiving a username and password via email, authors can log in and submit their manuscript using the "Submit Article" link. • Article screening processAfter the submission of the manuscript by the corresponding author, the manuscript is first checked for ethics and plagiarism by the editor and the editorial board, and if it is in line with the purpose / thematic area, language and format / style and in accordance with the principles of the authors' guide, then it is judged. will be sent The magazine is free to reject, accept and make any edits in the text of the article.

  • Article judging process

All manuscripts are considered confidential (double-blind). The assistant editor assigns the manuscript to at least 2 anonymous reviewers. All referees are selected according to their expertise and based on the existence of sufficient competence on the topic of the article, and they know the identity of the authors and their affiliation. If no response is received from the referees within 15 days or if they do not accept the refereeing, the manuscript will be sent to two other referees. The said process is continuously monitored by the journal's expert to prevent the sedimentation of manuscripts in the judging phase. Then the opinions of the referees are sent to the responsible author and he is asked to send the requested corrections to the journal office within 7 days at most. This process will continue until the opinion of the judges and the editorial board, and it may be revised several times. The acceptance of the draft of the article will be announced to the author after all the corrections requested by the journal and the final approval of the manuscript by the responsible author, and then the accepted articles will be published. Changes in the names or order of authors will be possible only if the responsible and interested author sends a written request with other authors before accepting the article. In all these stages, authors can find out about the status of their article through the journal's website. The HMED decision letter determines manuscript status in four ways:

1.the reception:

This means that the journal publishes the article in its original form and does not need to be changed.

2.Partial review:

Authors receive reviewers' comments on their manuscript and are asked to send a revised version of the manuscript (highlighting all changes in the manuscript using Track and Change or color) to the reviewers along with a response file in which they should Send answers to the points raised by the judges. The revised manuscript should be posted on the journal's website no later than 7 days after the decision letter is sent.

 3. General review: This means an opportunity to reorganize the manuscript to meet the scientific criteria required for another review process. Here, authors are also requested to send a revised version of the manuscript (highlighting all changes in the manuscript using Track and Change or color) along with a response file to the reviewers in which they should respond to each of the points raised by the reviewers. to send The revised manuscript should be posted on the journal's website no later than 7 days after the decision letter is sent. 

4. Reject: In most cases, methodological and scientific concerns are the main source of manuscript rejection. Rejection reasons are sent to authors to give them a better chance of publication in other journals.

  • Editing

Accepted manuscripts are edited according to HMED guidelines and returned to the corresponding author for final approval. All contributing authors are responsible for all statements made in the edited manuscript.

  • forwarded documents

When the article is published electronically, all the submitted items, including the text of the article, forms, etc., will be stored on the servers of the magazine website for six months and then will be gradually deleted.

  • Conflict of interest

Authors should report any financial support received and potential conflicts of interest. Reporting a conflict of interest does not lead to rejection of the article, but the editorial board and readers should be aware of it.

  • Intellectual property right

All the content of this magazine is under the international intellectual rights of publication and the content of this magazine is for non-commercial use. Copying, distributing, sending, displaying or printing the content of the magazine can be done with written permission and mention of the source.

  • Corrections

Requests for publication corrections should be sent to the journal office. Corrections are reviewed by the editors and published immediately and linked online to the original article. The diagram below shows the review process of the HMED journal in full.
