Abstract
Training medical staff with ability to answer sophisticated needs of public health is a major concern in medical education. To reach this goal, it is crucial to design assessment methods that are capable of evaluating clinical reasoning with acceptable validity and reliability in a timely manner. Key feature questions are one of the best assessment tools for this purpose that address critical decision points in patient management and evaluate students’ skills in numerous real clinical scenarios.
Key feature questions are flexible and can be designed in various formats such as multiple choice questions or short essays. It seems that widespread use of KFQ is an upcoming perspective in evaluating medical sciences students in our country.
