Abstract

Scientific communication is usually associated with written documents (1)  and scholarly journal articles are still the most used in universities to publish the researches(2) . However, with the advent of the Internet and the science of information technology, the way science is transmitted has witnessed profound changes (3). In the age of digital communication, professionals and the general public are constantly immersed in a dense visual environment, especially when it comes to science and technology content. In the modern sciences images have been at the center of communication processes since the beginning (4). Currently, YouTube, the second prominent engine after Google web search is widely used and scientific literacy in the standard dimension contributes to the public understanding of science at the international level (5). As we know, the Internet and the media have played an important role in the communication of the scientific community and it seems creative utilizing of these tools play a significant influence in the development and expansion of scientific findings. Nowadays Publications can benefit from new communication tools and articles can be more than simple text documents that contain some graphs and tables (2, 3). Sharing the results through audiovisual resources has obtained an important role in this process (6). An audio abstract provides an opportunity for researchers to communicate in a distinguished multimedia format. In recent years, using of videos by the scientific community has increased widely and researchers for the expansion and impact of their scientific publications use audio and visual media (7). Scientific impact, is determined by utilizing of a work by other researchers (8). Since audio-visual abstracts increase the number citations to the article, the understanding of scientific research by other researchers, credibility, transparency and popularity, it has been noticed by publishers and magazines. According to studies, the amount of citations of articles that have video abstracts are greater than articles without video abstracts (5). It shows the importance of using the latest tools and journals can use audio-visual abstracts as an opportunity to provide more effective results for authors. Increasing the number of visits and also to be practical like this Abstracts, publishers should define frameworks for preparing and editing, and it is better to have a video abstract with the to be published article. Abstracts allow us to communicate in ways that were not possible before and personalizing articles with new methods. Considering that the world's prestigious magazines and publications have defined their own framework and so far in domestic publications, this has not been done and since using of Audio-video files leads to easy promotion and sharing of research results in social networks, It is suggested that the audio abstract should be considered in the journal due to the ease of preparation and editing in the form of a platform with accurate and localized instructions.
