Abstract

Introduction: Due to the importance of resilience and stress control in the direction of faster recovery of patients suffering from covid-19 and also the role of teaching comprehensive national guidelines in reducing the complications caused by this disease, in this research, an attempt was made to evaluate the effect of comprehensive training of national guidelines for covid-19 on the Perceived stress and resilience of patients with this disease should be addressed.
Materials & Methods: This is a quasi-experimental research that was conducted in two intervention and control groups in June 1401 at comprehensive health service centers number 3 in Mashhad city. The statistical population included all people whose corona test was positive and who had a health record in the Sina system. Due to the impossibility of face-to-face communication, the target persons were selected by simple random method by referring to their electronic files in the Sina system, and 68 cases were included in the intervention group (before and after) and 34 cases were included in the control group. The trainings were provided by a health expert who was aware of the latest instructions of the headquarters to fight against Corona through telephone conversations and the use of social networks. Information was collected through questionnaires. The data were analyzed through the chi square test and paired, Wilcoxon or McNemar tests with SPSS 26 software.
Results: The findings showed that 35.3% of the control group and 52.9% of the intervention group were men, respectively. The highest age percentage of the intervention and control groups (32.4% and 26.5%, respectively) were in the age group of 31-35 years. The size of the effect of training comprehensive national guidelines on resilience and reducing perceived stress was 56%. The significance level for both variables of resilience and perceived stress is less than 0.05, which indicates a significant difference between the post-test and pre-test scores (Chi-squared test and paired tests, Wilcoxon or McNemar) in the intervention group
Conclusion: The training of comprehensive national guidelines for Covid-19 reduces the perceived stress and increases the resilience of patients with Covid-19. The results of this study emphasize the importance of the training of the comprehensive national guidelines for Covid-19 in improving the health of patients and ultimately the health of society.
