Introduction: Education is one of the most basic needs of human societies and one of the axes of development,and problem solving is a vital skill for living in the present age. Materials&Methods: The current semi-experimental research is a pre-test and post-test type with a control group.The research population was all nurses working in Panzdeh Khordad Hospital of ShahidBeheshti University of Medical Sciences.After explaining the purpose of the study and completing the written informed consent form, people who meet the entry criteria will be randomly assigned to two groups of lecture-style training (using PowerPoint and whiteboard with questions and answers) and multimedia training ( Educational content related to problem-solving skills and necessary techniques to deal with difficult situations and other content that was divided into groups in 4 2-hour sessions during 2 days in the form of a workshop. The sample size was estimated using Cochran's formula for each group of 25 people. Also, in the multimedia approach training group, after the pre-test, scenario-based educational content was sent to the participants of this group through social networks in the form of a compressed file. After the implementation of the training, the two groups were evaluated again in the post-test and the data were analyzed with SPSS 25 software with the t-test of independent groups.
Results: Intervention had a positive effect on the score of problem solving skills(p=0.001).
Conclusion: According to the findings of the research, it can be concluded that education with a multimedia approach has a positive effect on the problem solving skills of nurses.It is recommended to use new and creative teaching methods such as multimedia approach to improve nurses'problem solving skills.
