Abstract
Purpose: Drug addiction is a widespread and global challenge that has profound effects on societies and individuals. Various factors can influence the spread of drug addiction; Therefore, this research aims to investigate the attitude towards addiction based on the sense of connection; It was done with the mediating role of family adaptability.Method: The method of this research was a cross-sectional descriptive correlational survey. The population of this research was all undergraduate students of Mohaghegh Ardabili University in the academic year 1401-1402, 200 students were selected using available sampling. The tools of this research included Antonovsky's sense of connectedness questionnaire (1987), Karimi's drug attitude questionnaire (2013) and Elveson's FACES-III family adaptability and solidarity questionnaire (1985). In order to analyze the data, structural equation modeling was used.Findings: The results showed that there is a negative and significant relationship between the positive attitude towards addiction and the sense of connection and adaptability of the family at the level of 99%. The intensity of the effect between the positive attitude towards addiction and the feeling of connectedness with the mediating role of adaptability is 0.306 with a standard deviation of 0.216 and the intensity of the effect between and between the negative attitude towards addiction and the mediating role of family adaptability is 0.309 with a standard deviation of 0.193. be Conclusion: Family adaptability can play an important role as a mediator in this relationship. By increasing the adaptability of the family, there is a sense of connection and a closer connection in the family, and this can help protect people from drug use.
